ENFA: Ensuring Numeracy for All Ruston Elementary received the Ensuring Numeracy For All (ENFA) Initiative from the Louisiana State Department of Education for 2009 - 2010. This is our second year in this program. This initiative develops the mathematics foundation students need for future success and provides professional development essential for Pre K - 5th grade teachers to address the diverse needs of all learners. This initiative allowed us to hire an Interventionist, purchase ELMOS (document cameras), projectors, and materials for classrooms and math room, which teachers utilize daily. We are also learning how to utilize student data information that we gain from assessments. Ruston Elementary's numeracy goal for our school is to improve student achievement and teacher instruction.
