Choudrant Elementary School

Choudrant Elementary received approval to implement school uniforms for the 2025-2026 school year at today's school board meeting. The benefits to school uniforms touch on a lot of different issues and concerns facing our children and parents today. We see uniforms as an effective way to provide immediate support and positivity to our school community. You will be receiving more information on our new uniform policy in the near future.

Bus 39 is broken down. There is a new bus already on the way for her to run her route. No student will be marked tardy from Bus 39 and breakfast will still be available when they get to school. Thank you for your patience.

In order to ensure that Aggie Mile shirts are ready by race day, we are asking that all designs be turned in by this Monday. Any theme- just draw the design on any 8 x11 sheet of paper & include student's name. Student with winning design gets a free race shirt. Aggie Mile is Friday, March 14

Lincoln Prep cancelled tonight's game due to possibility of bad weather.

Coffee & Communication is this morning in the library! Even if you forgot to sign up, it's ok. We will have coffee and king cake in the library right after carline. We plan to discuss K-5 academic celebrations, PTO & upcoming spring events, Dibels for K-3rd grade and the promotion requirements for each grade. 3rd grade promotion criteria does have a Dibels score component that we will go over. We would love to see you. You can park in the back parking lot after you drop off and come on in.

From the PTO: CES Families-we are excited to get ready for our annual Aggie Mile! We have lots of fun incentives for our students to help us raise funds towards installing outdoor picnic tables in the center courtyard! The first step towards our fundraiser is creating your students' profile. When a class has 100% registered for the race through 99pledges that class will earn a Smore Party! The race is on March 14th but all students must be registered by Feb 7th to earn a Smore Party! https://app.99pledges.com/fund/2025aggiemile/addme Also we are excited to host our first indoor movie night in our CES gym! THIS Friday January 24th doors will open at 5:30 pm and the movie "Elemental" will begin at 6 pm! We can't wait to see you and your families there!

Report cards went home today. If your child has an S in Art & Music, this was an error. It has been updated with an O for outstanding. We did not reprint report cards for this minor error. You will see it correct on the 3rd 9 weeks or you can see it updated on jpams. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Parents, Thank you for the treat cart and goodies for the lounge. It was a wonderful way to end the semester. We also want to thank our PTO for Friday's Popping morning drop off. PreK Families, We will line up at the black gate by PreK for this mornings activities. You will not need to go to the office to check in. After the activities, you will walk with your child's class to lunch. If you plan you check your child out, you will go to the classroom with your child's teacher and sign them out in the classroom. For safety reasons, please keep your child with you and do not let them run around after checking them out. We are excited you are coming, but want to keep everyone safe. If you are checking siblings out, you will need to come to the office. Today is not a free checkout. Attendance is being counted. CES wishes everyone a Very Merry Christmas!!

Tom's coffee will be at CES from 7-8 this morning. Feel free to stop by and get some. Prek & 3rd Parent lunch- parking is available at the front of the school and down carline. If parking on Walker Road please only park down 1 side, the side by the playground fence It's been a great week and we are looking forward to 1 last day before Christmas break!
