Lincoln Parish Schools (LPS) recognize that every student has unique individual needs.  We strive to provide a program that meets the individual academic, physical, social, behavioral, and emotional needs of every student to ensure that each student is successful in receiving a free and appropriate public education.  LPS  assures that all students with disabilities between the ages of 3 and 21 will have access to free and appropriate public education (FAPE).

LPS works diligently to ensure that students receive FAPE alongside their peers in the least restrictive environment, to the maximum extent appropriate, through the use of a continuum of supports, services, and placements.  Inclusion lies at the core of our service model philosophy and we utilize co-teaching strategies to provide the most effective instruction for all students.  This approach enables students to access the general curriculum with the content expert AND to receive the special education support they need within the general education classroom.

We are committed to helping each student reach their full potential and it is the goal of LPS to accomplish this by fostering collaborative relationships between families, professionals, and the broader community.
