Lincoln Parish School District students continued to make academic gains on the 2025-2026 LEAP assessments, achieving growth across multiple grade levels while continuing to outperform the state average.
Among students in grades 3-8, overall proficiency increased from 41% to 44%, a three percentage point gain. The district recorded a four-point increase in math proficiency, one of its strongest areas of growth this year. The statewide average for grades 3-8 is 35%. ELA grew +1, Science grew +2, and Social Studies grew +3.
When high school assessment results are included, overall district proficiency increased from 42% to 44%, compared to the statewide average of 36%.
The district's performance was recognized by the Louisiana Department of Education during its statewide system leaders call Tuesday morning, where Lincoln Parish was recognized as one of Louisiana's top-achieving school systems.
This year's gains continue the district's steady upward trend and reflect the work taking place in classrooms across Lincoln Parish. Teachers, students, school leaders, support staff, and families have remained focused on improving learning and creating opportunities for every student to succeed.
Lincoln Parish School District will continue building on that momentum as it works toward the goals outlined in its 2025-2030 Strategic Plan.
